John Keisler
CEO & Managing Partner
Previously the Economic Development Director for the City of Long Beach, where he led an award-winning economic development blueprint and helped drive a historic increase in private-sector investment in the city.
John Shen
Founding Partner
Holds an MS in Statistics and Decision Sciences from Duke University. Previously served on the Long Beach Economic Development Commission and currently sits on the City of Irvine Innovation Council; recipient of Duke's Forever Duke award and the Coleman Report's SBA 504 Lender of the Year.
Stella Zhang
Partner
Holds an MBA from UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business. Helped grow Sunstone into an ecosystem builder and startup sponsor, forming its partnership with Cal State Long Beach and co-founding the Long Beach Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Runs the Startup Resources and Startup Perks programs for founders, and helped found the Long Beach Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) alongside the City of Long Beach and Cal State Long Beach. The Stella Zhang New Venture Competition, part of that partnership, is named for Sunstone partner Stella Zhang.
