Submit your startup, be part of it early

SoCal.Startups is still under construction — I'm building it solo, so a lot of it is still rough and evolving. The goal is a place where Southern California founders can get discovered, and where investors get a real read on what's actually happening in startups here.

Filling this out doesn't auto-list your startup yet — I'll personally follow up and keep you posted as things come together. And whether you're building here or investing here, I'd genuinely love to know what would make this useful to you.

Right now the directory tracks 2,397 Southern California startups, sourced mostly from SEC Form D filings, Y Combinator batches, and startup news coverage — not self-reported. That works fine for funded companies, but it means bootstrapped and non-VC-backed startups are genuinely underrepresented, since they don't leave the same public paper trail. If that's you, a direct submission is actually the main way you end up listed at all.

One real constraint worth knowing up front: the directory only lists companies we can place at roughly 10 years old or younger — it's the one age/stage signal that's actually verifiable across most listings, so it's the rule we enforce. If your company is older than that, this probably isn't the right fit yet.
