ViroMissile developed a proprietary strain of vaccinia virus that survives in the bloodstream, allowing it to be delivered intravenously and travel systemically to infect and destroy tumor cells while sparing healthy tissue.
The company states it is the first to achieve successful, effective intravenous delivery of an oncolytic virus directly to tumors in humans, using a virus strain that survives in blood unlike any other in development, and was awarded 'Top Cancer Destroying Platform' (2025) by Life Sciences Review.
