The infrastructure for the distribution of liquid hydrogen.
Green hydrogen can be produced cheaply in remote, renewable-rich regions like the Middle East, North Africa, and Chile, but those places are far from the consumer markets that need the hydrogen.
H2 Clipper delivers hydrogen anywhere in the world through an end-to-end transport and distribution system, combining 'Safety Pipe' pipeline technology for last-mile gas delivery, regional hydrogen storage depots, and the Clipper Airship for long-haul liquid hydrogen and freight transport.
They claim their Pipe-within-a-Pipe Safety Pipe Technology can move gaseous hydrogen up to 500 miles without repressurization using existing rights of way, and that the Clipper Airship is the world's first point-to-point liquid hydrogen delivery system.
H2 Clipper was founded by Rinaldo Brutoco and is developing hydrogen-powered cargo airships; it has raised roughly $6M across two funding rounds.
