A new way of seeing inside the human body.
Traditional surgical navigation forces surgeons to mentally translate 2D scans into 3D reality by shifting attention between screens and the patient, requires over 30 minutes of complex setup, and is too costly/space-intensive for smaller facilities.
Illuminant uses AI, computer vision, and dynamic projection mapping to project imaging data directly onto the patient in real time during spine surgery and interventional procedures, via its Skylight system.
Skylight's SkinMatch patient registration enables non-invasive setup within minutes (vs. 30+ minutes for traditional systems) and just one day of training, with a compact footprint that extends advanced navigation to ambulatory centers and private clinics, not just major medical centers.
Backed in part by the National Cancer Institute and National Institute on Aging alongside its $8.4M seed round led by Wing 2 Wing Ventures.
